Rowan Denim Voyage
In the midst of crazy hecticness at work (grants and more grants to send out), I managed to knock out my Rowan Denim Voyage jacket--finally! Remember that this was my Olympic Knitalong project. Ha. That was a bit of an overstep...Specifications?
Voyage is from the Rowan Denim People book. I made the two color (memphis and nashville) version in size M--36. It used the exact yardage called for (12 and 3), and I made gauge at 3 and 6.
I went with the suggested Rowan buttons, which really make it look like a fun jean jacket. Notice that the pockets are just flaps added on at the end.

Remember how I grafted the back yoke? It doesn't look that bad after washing:

And look--I even added the Rowan Denim tag to the collar. I thought it might work better on the top collar--if it is lower it would be scratchy. I might pull that out and reset it lower...

The jacket definitely shrank in the wash. Plus, that lovely denim wear has started. This is going to get nicer with age.

This was a fun knit once I found my groove. I would certainly make something out of Rowan Denim in the future. It is soft, yet warm, worn yet stable in effect, and a jacket I will wear well into the fall.
