Fleece Artist Mittens

When I was in Steamboat Springs last summer I bought a thrummed mitten kit from Fleece Artist, a Nova Scotia, Canada company. When I was in the yarn store, I kept going back to the Fleece Artist display and touching the yarn, over and over. It was so soft and lovely and, the best, smelled nice and sheepy. For some, that isn't anything to recommend, but I like my wool to be real! Plus their colors are great, and I am a sucker for a knitting kit!

The thrummed mittens were a Christmas gift for my Mother in law, but I wanted a pair for myself. I found the soft mitt kit on ebay at a good price and a good color. This kit includes a mix of Blue Face Leicester DK and Mo (mohair blend). You hold the yarn double and get a warm, fuzzy and strong mitten.

I finished these mittens just in time for my March trip to New York. I wore them throughout the blizzard, and they were just wonderful!

Wooly Bully Hat

Wooly Bully Hat

Hey look! Another FO. This is a cute cotton yarn kit from Wooly Bully. I finished it on a train from NYC on St. Patrick's Day. It turned out that knitting was a lot more fun than watching the drunks around me.

I'm still here, working on too many projects. The latest news? Um. Not much. Pulled a snake out of my dryer last night. Yup. Got to love Texas.
